The Ozanam Orientation is a six-hour interactive workshop for new and existing members. It is in-person and usually given on a Saturday.
Members (especially officers) should take the Ozanam Orientation within a year of joining.
Ozanam Orientations are normally taught by the Council's formation team.
If you don't have a team yet, the West Region can send a team to your location. Contact the West Region Formation Committee chair.
Ozanam Orientation is available in English and in Spanish.
Expenses, including travel for the presenters and materials for participants, are normally paid by the host Council. West Region can assist with funding if needed.
Host Council is responsible for publicity and for signing up the attendees. We can provide samples and suggestions as needed.
Allow at least 3 months for us to find a team and for you to reserve a location.
Traveling Orientations are provided entirely by a small group of volunteers, so you may need to wait more than 3 months.
A Council which is starting its own formation team will have priority.
